Common Questions
To use Nexmo Voice in your workflow, you will first need to connect Nexmo Voice to Built.io Flow Enterprise.
To do this, drag any Nexmo Voice action listed under Nexmo Voice service on the canvas and click on ‘Add New’ option listed under ‘Connect to Nexmo Voice’ field in the configuration window. A connection configuration window will appear, as shown below:
Enter values for the fields specified below:
Connection Label: Provide a new name for the connection.
Application ID: Enter the ID of the application for which you want to create a connection. To retrieve the Application ID, login to your Nexmo account, navigate to the 'Voice' tab, and locate the application in the list of applications.
Private Key: Enter the Private Key associated with the specified Nexmo application. If you have created the application through 'Nexmo Voice' UI, its private key will be automatically downloaded to your local system and if you have created the application through through the 'Create Application' action using Built.io Flow Enterprise, the private key can be found in the output of the action.
Note: Please ensure to note your application private key once the application is created, as it can not be recovered later.
Once you have entered these details, click on 'ADD' button. You will be redirected to the canvas.
You can now see the added connection under ‘Connect to Nexmo Voice’ field. Once added, this connection will be available in all Nexmo Voice actions and triggers.
In order to create a Nexmo Voice connection, you are required to provide the 'Application ID' and 'Private Key' of the application for which you want to create the connection. Given below are the steps to retrieve the 'Application ID' and 'Private Key:
Application ID
Step 1: Login to your Nexmo account.
Step 2: Navigate to the 'Voice' tab. Here you can see the list of all existing apps of your Nexmo account.
Step 3: Locate the application for which you want to create a connection and copy the application ID listed against it.
Private Key
The application private key is generated and displayed when the app is created. Hence it is recommended that you note it for future use.
If you have created the application through Nexmo UI, its private key will be automatically downloaded on your local system. If you have create the application using the 'Create Application' action through Built.io Flow Enterprise, you will get its private key in the output of the action.
