SES Send Email
Simple Email Service (SES) is an email-sending service offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It helps you send bulk emails without having the need to maintain your own mail server.
Using this action, you can compose an email and send it to the specified recipients. To do this, you first need to configure the action, and select the required AWS connection. Select the region that was chosen at the time of registration. You can also choose whether the type of the email would be ‘HTML’ or ‘Text’.
Next, enter recipients’ email addresses in ‘To’, ‘Cc’, and ‘Bcc’ fields. While entering recipients, it is important to note that the maximum number of recipients (‘To’, ‘Cc’, and ‘Bcc’ combined) per email cannot exceed 50.
SES gives you an option to enter one or more ‘Reply-to’ email addresses. This means that if the user replies to your email, it will be sent to all the email addresses mentioned in this field. You also have to mention the source, i.e., the identity’s email address. If the email does not reach the specified recipient/s, the delivery failure or error messages can be forwarded to a separate email address, which you can mention in ‘Return path’.
Then, enter the ‘Subject’ of the email. You can also optionally give the character set of the content. Enter the body text of the email in the ‘Body data’ field.
Once you have entered all the details, click on ‘Done’ and run the workflow. This will immediately queue the email for sending.
